“기록은 머무는 것이 아니라, 살아 숨 쉬는 일입니다.”

안동헤리티지영화제가 올해 처음으로 문을 엽니다.
영화를 통해 우리 지역의 기억을 함께 나누고, 사람들의 시선으로 살아있는 유산을 다시 마주하고자 합니다.

이 영화제는 단순한 영상 상영 행사가 아닙니다.
지역 곳곳에 깃든 이야기, 오래된 골목과 마을의 숨결,
그리고 그 안을 살아가는 이들의 삶을 기록하고 해석하는 하나의 문화 실천이자 공동체의 창작 운동입니다.

카메라 앞에서 누군가는 오래된 기억을 되살리고, 

편집기 앞에서 누군가는 사라져가는 장면에 새 숨을 불어넣습니다.
그렇게 주민 스스로가 '기록자'이자 '창작자'가 되어, 

과거와 현재, 미래를 잇는 살아있는 문화유산을 만들어갑니다.

안동커뮤니티영상위원회는 이러한 변화의 흐름 속에서
‘보는 영화제’가 아닌 ‘함께 만드는 영화제’를 꿈꿨습니다.
영화라는 매개를 통해 세대가 소통하고,
도시와 농촌, 주민과 외부인이 서로를 이해하는 장이 되기를 바랍니다.

첫걸음이라 서툴 수도 있지만, 그만큼 더 정직하게, 더 따뜻하게 여러분을 맞이하겠습니다.

Message from the Festival Director

“To record is not to preserve the past, but to let it breathe in the present.”

The Andong Heritage Film Festival opens its doors for the very first time this year.
Through cinema, we aim to share the memories of our region and rediscover living heritage through the eyes of those who call this place home.

This festival is not merely a series of film screenings.
It is a cultural practice and a collective creative movement—
a way to document and interpret the stories embedded in old alleys, timeworn villages,
and the lives of people who continue to breathe meaning into these spaces.

In front of the camera, someone revives a long-forgotten memory.
In the editing room, someone breathes new life into fading moments.
Through this process, local residents become both recorders and creators,
weaving a living heritage that connects the past, present, and future.

The Andong Community Film Council envisioned this festival not as one we simply watch,
but as one we create together.
A space where generations can connect through film,
and where urban and rural, locals and visitors, come to understand one another more deeply.

This may be our first step, and there may be imperfections along the way.
But with sincerity and warmth, we welcome you to join us.
