슬로건
2025년 제1회 안동헤리티지영화제의 슬로건은 ‘정화(淨化): 기억, 시간, 그리고 우리’입니다. 과거의 기억은 현재를 비추는 등불이 되고, 시간은 우리를 이어주는 다리가 됩니다. 그리고 우리는 그 길 위에서 다시 서로를 바라보며, 영화를 통해 마음을 정화합니다. 안동의 유산과 영화가 만나 새로운 감동을 나누는 축제, 그것이 바로 안동헤리티지영화제입니다.
기억
헤리티지는 문화유산, 자연유산, 정신적유산, 브랜드 유산을 의미한다.
이러한 유산들은 유구한 시간동안 ‘사람’에 의해 만들어진 유산이다.
따라서 우리는 유산의 본질인 ‘사람’에 집중할 필요가 있다.
그런데, 사람은 자의든, 타의든, 그리고 어쩔수 없는 노화에 의해 ‘기억’이 사라진다.
이에 사라지는 ‘기억’에 대하여, 우리는 겸허하게 받아들이고, 인정할 필요가 있다.
이러한 인정 속에서 문화유산과 정신적 유산을 남겨두는 행위가 비로소 가치있는 위치에 놓인다.
안동헤리티지영화제에서 ‘기억’은 정화의 첫번째 방식이다.
‘기억’의 방식안에서 펼쳐질 섹션들은 곧 사라진 기억과 사라진 기억을 다룬다.
‘기억’의 주인공이 바로 최고의 어른이라고 할 수 있는 ‘노인’이다.
따라서 ‘기억’은 노인에 대한 존경과 고마움을 담은 특별한 단어이다.
시간
헤리티지를 이루는 요소들은 결국 시간의 지배하에 있다.
시간이야말로 모든 생성과 소멸을 관장하는 창조신이다.
존재하는 무엇이든, 분야를 막론하고, 언제나 시간앞에서 탄생과 소멸을 겪는다.
이 세상에 태어난 인간도 이러한 시간의 지배를 받는다.
그리고, 리치오토카뉴도에 의해 명명된 제7의 예술, 영화도 그러하다.
안동헤리티지영화제에서 ‘시간’은 정화의 두번째 방식이다.
‘시간’의 방식안에서 펼쳐질 섹션들은 ‘영화’안에 각인된 배경을다룬다.
이는 ‘영화’ 속에 남겨졌으나, 현재라는 ’시간’에 의해 사라졌거나,
흔적만 남은 자연과 공간의 유산들을 다시 주목하려는 시도이다.
따라서, 두번째 정화의 방식 ‘시간’은 이를 통해 우리의 문화, 자연유산과
살아가는 공간과 환경에 대한 깊은 사유를 경험해 보기 위한 시도이다.
우리
사람이 꽃보다 아름다운것처럼, ‘안동의전통’ 에 앞서서 ‘안동사람’이 아름답다.
비범한 ‘전통‘도 결국, ‘사람‘이라는 주체가 만들어가는 것이기 때문이다.
그리고 ‘사람‘이 뜨겁게 숨쉬고 살아가는 곳,
안동에는 지표 안에서 끓고 있는 용암처럼, 뜨거운 영화가 존재하고 있다.
안동헤리티지영화제에서 ‘우리’는 정화의 세번째 방식이다.
‘우리’의 방식 안에서 펼쳐질 섹션들은 오늘의 안동을 다룬다.
안동의 희로애락과 오욕칠정의 숨결을 영화로 담아낸 젊은감독들을 위한 섹션이며,
안동의 이야기가 가진 의미와 가치를 탐색하는 특별한 섹션이다.

The 1st Andong Heritage Film Festival 2025 is about “Purification.”
Its three pillars are memory, time, and us. Memory is the past, time is the bridge that leads us to the present, and we stand together in the present to remember once more.
Memory
Heritage embraces cultural, natural, spiritual, and even brand legacies—all created and carried by people through time. Yet memory, the essence of humanity, inevitably fades with choice, circumstance, or age. Accepting this disappearance with humility gives true meaning to preserving our cultural and spiritual heritage.
At the Andong Heritage Film Festival, “Memory” represents the first path of purification. This section reflects on what has been forgotten and what is fading, honoring the elderly as the keepers of wisdom. Here, “Memory” becomes a word of gratitude and respect for those who came before us.
Time
The elements that shape heritage ultimately exist under the rule of time.
Time itself is the divine creator, governing all birth and extinction.
Whatever exists—across all fields—must undergo both emergence and disappearance before time. Humanity, too, is bound by this inescapable power. And so is cinema, the seventh art, as named by Ricciotto Canudo.
At the Andong Heritage Film Festival, “Time” represents the second path of purification.
Within this section, we revisit the backgrounds engraved in film—those natural and spatial heritages once captured on screen, but since lost to the present or surviving only as traces.
Thus, the second path, “Time,” becomes an attempt to reflect deeply on our cultural and natural heritage, our lived spaces, and the environment around us.
We
Just as people are more beautiful than flowers, it is the people of Andong who shine even before its traditions.
Even the most extraordinary traditions are, in the end, created and carried forward by human hands.
And in Andong—where people breathe and live passionately—cinema flows like the molten lava beneath the surface, alive and burning.
At the Andong Heritage Film Festival, “We” is the third path of purification.
This section focuses on Andong today, presenting works by young filmmakers who capture the joys and sorrows, the struggles and passions of its people.
It is a special program that explores the meaning and value of Andong’s stories through film.
